After your transfer to the hotel in Hanoi upon your arrival, check in then spend your short time for your refreshment. Start your first discovery of Hanoi history and culture by an-hour Cyclo round the Old Quarter Area for local life, followed by a unique performance of water puppet. Start your morning to visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and and hear about the man who led Vietnam’s campaign for independence from French colonial rule. Then wander the grounds to see the one pillar pagoda, one of the most unique pagodas in Vietnam built following the King’s dream and the presidential palace. Next destination is the Temple of Literature, known as the Vietnam’s first university since the 11th century, for culture and architecture exploration.
Continue your afternoon with Museum of Ethnology to learn about 54 ethnic groups. Then, take a walk around Hoan Kiem Lake and hear about a legend that the name of the lake originates. Get though the Huc Bridge that connects the bank with Ngoc Son Temple. Get back your hotel in late afternoon.

After your arrival at Lao Cai railway station in the early morning, enjoy your breakfast at local restaurant before heading to bustling Bac Ha market. This Sunday market is attended by many ethnic groups including the colorful Floyour H’Mong, Tay and San Chi minorities, and visitors can enjoy a spectacular mosaic of ethnic culture and colour. Spend your lunch at a local restaurant before getting back your hotel in Sapa down town.

Trek deeper into the mountains to Ta Van village, where you are attracted by brightly colourful traditional costume of ethnic group locals including H’mong, Zay and Dzao people. You will soon feel like one of the locals, who have enjoyed this pace of life for centuries. Spend your day wandering their villages with scattered traditional quaint houses embraced by unspoiled beauty of forested hill and mountains. You are also impressed by the friendliness and hospitality of the local people. Back your down town and then visit the Ham Rong Mountain, Orchid Garden and enjoy traditional music show.
In the evening, you will transfer to Lao Cai railway station for overnight train to Hanoi.
This early morning when you are transferred to your hotel upon your arrival at train station, have breakfast before our pick-up at around 08.00 AM for a drive to Halong Bay, listed as the World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty blessed with more than 1,000 limestone karst islets steeply rising from the water.
Upon your arrival at Halong port, board cruise for your astonishing experience over the bay when cruise around Halong Bay, passing through Dinh Huong, Ga Choi and Sail Island. In the meantime, your lunch is served on boat. Stop at Sung Sot cave and a swim at secluded Titov Island.
In the late afternoon, anchor for the night on the bay and spend your time on the sundeck, sip a tipple as you are on the sundeck to enjoy the islets silhouetted against the bay at sunset. Enjoy your on-boat-served dinner, and then take your time at leisure in the evening.

For those who seek absolutely awe-inspiring moments, why not wake up early at dawn to see the sun slowly rising from the sea. Early morning coffee and tea is also ready at the restaurant, followed by a Tai Chi class.
Get off your cruise for small sampan boat heading to fishing villages and some magnificent caves. Head back the main boat for your brunch before the boat cruise towards to dock for your drive back Hanoi. You may reach the city center in the mid-afternoon.
