The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (Vietnamese: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum) is a mausoleum as a resting place for the leaders of the Vietnam Revolution & President Ho Chi Minh in Hanoi, Vietnam. It was a large building in the center of Ba Dinh square, where Ho, President of the Vietnam Labor Party from 1951 until his death in 1969, read the Declaration of Independence on September 2, 1945, established the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. It is open to the public.
The Presidential Mausoleum was designed by Russian architects in accordance with the original “socialist reality” but incorporates distinct Vietnamese architectural elements, such as the sloping roof. The building materials are selected by the people around country. Around the mausoleum there are many rows of trees symbolizing the rural mountainous areas of Vietnam. Ho Chi Minh mausoleum belongs Ho Chi Minh complex that is included Ba Dinh Square, Ho Chi Minh palace, Ho Chi Minh mausoleum and Ho Chi Minh still house.
Visiting Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is a tradition of gratitude of each Vietnamese. In addition to visiting activities, there are cultural and political activities in front of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Ba Dinh Square.
Ho Chi Minh mausoleum open in the morning: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. (Mondays and Fridays close).
Hot season (from 01 April to 31 October): Open from 7:30am to 10:30am. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays open from 7:30am to 11:00 am.
The cold season (from 01 November to 31 March of the following year): Open from 8:00am to 11:00am. Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays open from 8:00 am to 11:30:00am
On 19 May, 02 September and the first day of the Lunar New Year, if they coincide with Monday or Friday, President Ho Chi Minh will still open.
